Right now, my taxes are taken out of my paycheck so I only account for my take-home pay in my Money Plus software but I was curious about whether taxes should be part of a budget or not?

Mark - no, I don’t think taxes should be included. But make sure you’re not counting on a tax return as part of a “treat yourself” type of thing. You should make sure your allowances make sense, then taxes should be transparent to your budget.
