Spend Your Way To Debt Freedom
If you enjoyed this post,

Paul is sitting down talking to Mary about his progress. He has been reviewing his targets every day, following each law Mary taught him.
By this time, he has paid off most of his debt, including his credit cards and his home equity loan. With all the extra money he has each month now, he is paying on top of his monthly mortgage and will soon have his home paid for free and clear.
During this conversation, he surprises Mary by announcing his goal to write this book to share what he learned from her so that the lessons may help others who have difficulties with their debt. Paul mentions how he wonders why his “paycheck never came with a set of instructions on how to handle the money.”
In the end, the goal of the book becomes clear,
A handbook for paychecks that would show everyone, including our children, in a very logical and convincing way, how to get organized financially, how to get the most out of the money they earn, how to get out of debt and become financially secure on any income.
The rest of the chapter goes on to review the four laws and the lessons Paul shares with us that I have written about in previous posts.
- The First Law - Tracking
- The Second Law - Targeting
- The Third Law - Trimming
- The Fourth Law - Training
I want to close out this post with a terrific quote from this book.
Financial security is more a function of how you spend, than how much money you earn.
