WPF Review : No Debt Plan
If you enjoyed this post,
Editor’s note : With thousands of Personal Finance blogs on the Internet, it can be daunting to wade through them to find a few personal finance blogs that you can identify with. It is with this goal in mind that I will review a personal finance blog each week to help you understand a little more about the blog itself. Hence the title, Weekly Personal Finance Review or WPF for short.
Weekly Personal Finance Review
This week, it is No Debt Plan (referred here as NDP for short) that gets the attention. As NDP explained on his About page, he started blogging about his personal finances on his personal blog before making a decision to create a permanent personal finance blog home at No Debt Plan. It is similar to what I did with TheLocoMono Website except I split my topics into sub-domains.
I came across this blog while searching randomly at the More Dollars And Sense’s blogroll
Three Posts That Makes You Think About Personal Finance Matters
NDP posted several good points about why Credit cards are Not Evil because of his sound financial management plan. After reading this, I realized he was taking almost a business-like approach with his expenses and income streams. In a strange way, I am actually learning how to move in a similar direction with my own debt management.
While I am not big on gathering data on my gas usage and mileage, The Automobile Gas Log certainly has gotten me thinking. Not only for personal use but for those of you who are interested in using your vehicle for business use, it will certainly help you figure out how to find a fair rate to charge for your services if you have to drive for business purposes and learn how your personal driving habits can trim some expenses from your budget.
I have not thought of it this way but Buy Plants That Pay Dividends really nailed it on the nose. Not only is it a great way to look at your plants, but it is also a great lesson to learn from as the same concept applies to your own personal finances. Not only can you also save money, you can also snip a few flowers here and there to create a nice bouquet to surprise a loved one with.
My Thoughts
NDP has a really good, strong blog. He came out firing right away with good quality posts and kept it at a steady pace. He actually has given me a few ideas for future posts (naturally, you will see a linkback to his posts).
The nice thing about his blog is the time he takes to explain his No Debt Plan, a series of posts tackling the topic of having no debt which covers a wide range of concepts. I highly recommend you check it out.
